Spring Into Healing: Chinese Medicine and Wild Foraging for Renewal of the Body and Mind

Join us for a Spring Weekend at the beautiful and serene Still Waters to take a few days to clear the winter cobwebs, and prepare our bodies and minds for the energy of the upcoming summer months.  Beautiful nature all around to help us disconnect, so we can focus on ourselves and the weekend's programming.

The weekend will include Qi Gong and yoga, an introduction to Traditional Chinese Medicine, a guided foraging walk, drumming for wellness, organic meals, comfortable on-site accommodations, a bonfire, as well as opportunities for Thai massage, individual consultations, reiki, and flight therapy, among other things.

Here is information about the retreat group leaders:

Yasemin Ugurlu

Yasemin started Evren Events in 2018, after 15+ years of event planning in a variety of capacities, sectors, and continents.

Her more direct journey down the path of alternative health and wellness began 6 years ago when she identified the effect of food on her mental and emotional health.  She has since continued to delve deeper into the wide world of alternative healing methods and natural living.

Yasemin combined her passion for healthy living with her event planning capabilities when she started Evren Events, which features day, weekend and getaway retreats. The main mission is self-care - to aid attendees in discovering new methods and rituals to implement in their daily life, while using the retreat itself as an opportunity to disconnect, self-reflect and grow.

Stephen Masullo

Stephen Masullo is a computer programmer/ software engineer, yoga teacher, Thai Massage and Reiki practitioner. In 2012, he completed his 200-hour Yoga Teacher certification from Kripalu School of Yoga, then moved into Kripalu for a 2-year resident internship with their school of yoga. During his 2-year stint at Kripalu, Stephen assisted, managed and taught in their 200-hour and 500-hour yoga teacher trainings as well as receiving the 500-hour training.

Stephen also took a slew of other trainings from a multitude of disciplines, including Thai Yoga Massage trainings from Lotus Palm.  In 2019, Stephen received his Usui/Holy Fire Reiki 1 and 2 trainings.

Stephen's yoga class is designed to help increase flexibility, release muscle tension and create a greater sense of ease and calm through the focused emphasis on breath and synchronizing breath with movement. The postures used in this class will be of moderate vigor level and simpler in nature with accessible and guided transitions between postures, great for first time students and/or students with limited flexibility or injury.

Drawing from his extensive trainings at Kripalu and directly from his training from Lotus Palm, Stephen integrates Ayurveda into his Thai Yoga Massages for a customized session tailored to your specific make-up. He offers a traditional Thai Yoga Massage, or his special combination of Thai Massage and Therapeutic flying. Each session ends with him playing his Bamboo Flute to add a soothing relaxation to help integrate the massage.
